One can only imagine Dana White's reaction when he heard Tito Ortiz wrecked his car. The good news is that Tito came away unscathed and it was a race car he was driving during a practice run for a celebrity event. But it's begs the question - why is one of the most injury-prone guys in MMA putting himself at risk?
TMZ posted the photo of Tito's trashed Toyota Scion. The gossip website claims Ortiz wrecked the car twice during a Tuesday practice run for the "Fueled by Fame" Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race on Apr. 16.
Ortiz, who has a history of neck and back problems, already bailed on a 2011 fight against Antonio Rogerio Nogueira at Ultimate Fight Night 24. He's scheduled to face Ryan Bader in July at UFC 132.
If Tito goes through with the race it is for a good cause.
On behalf of each celebrity racer, Toyota donates $5,000 to Racing for Kids every year and another $5,000 to the winning racer's charity of choice. Racing for Kids, a national nonprofit program benefiting children's hospitals throughout the country, (in this case, Miller Children's Hospital in Long Beach and Children's Hospital in Orange County, Calif.), was created as a way to connect sick children with their favorite celebrities and race-car drivers. Toyota has donated more than $1.9 million to various children's hospitals since 1991, on behalf of this race and its participants.
Additionally, a $15,000 donation will be made in conjunction with the 14th-annual "People Pole Award." Sponsored by People magazine, the award honors the pole-position winner of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race qualifying session on Friday, April 15.
Other celebrities racing include Anthony Anderson, Jillian Barberie Reynolds, Tyson Beckford, Kevin Eubanks, Dennis Haysbert, Megyn Price and Kimora Lee Simmons. The race takes place on the downtown streets of Long Beach, Ca. Insert your Quinton Jackson joke here.

As was mentioned on Kirstie Alley's Twitter, Jon Jones made quite an impression on the actress before their appearance on "The Tonight Show." Once sitting next to Jay Leno, Jones said that Alley was hitting on him. He also detailed his crime-fighting adventures before he beat Mauricio "Shogun" Rua to win the light heavyweight championship at UFC 128.
It's early in his championship reign, but it's already fun having Jones as the champ. He's eager to show his personality and makes an excellent spokesman for MMA. Not to mention, he clearly made a new MMA fan in Alley.

It seems that everyone wants a piece of the MMA pie lately, and that includes the good people at "CSI:Miami," who will run an MMA-themed show on Sunday night. Take a look at the clip, which seems to use every cliche that has ever been uttered around MMA.
The gloves come off? Check. Calling a fighter a weapon? Check. A badly thrown Superman punch? Check. The only cliche they're missing is using a well-known fighter to overact his two lines. Tune in this Sunday at 10 p.m. ET/PT to CBS to see if we'll catch any more cliches, like a vaguely foreign coach, a gym where someone is jump-roping, or if the sport is called barbaric.
Looks like this episode, (takes sunglasses off) has tapped out.

During the 12-season run of The Ultimate Fighter, many of the most memorable moments have involved the show's coaches. Ken Shamrock and Tito Ortiz wanted to kill one another. So did Rashad Evans and Rampage Jackson. Josh Koscheck spent most of his time on the show trying to get under Georges St. Pierre's skin. Multiple coaches have broken the door that leads into the Ultimate Fighter gym. But from the way Brock Lesnar and Junior dos Santos are talking, moments like those are going to be lacking on the 13th season of the show, which begins on Wednesday night. On a conference call to promote their show, Lesnar and dos Santos were nothing but respectful toward each other, and they indicated that they both prefer to save any negative energy they feel for each other until they fight in June.
